CompTIA provides descriptions and samples of PBQ questions here. Generally, the PBQ are the first questions presented. Do not lose time because you did not do your pre-test homework. Know what actions are required by you to complete the PBQ.

The Network+® Netsim provides a virtual networking and configuration environment, wherein, you can configure the network elements such as switches, routers, servers, and access points for various parameters and test the same for proper functionality. Networking labs offered include configuring WiFi routers, wireless access points (WAP), file and user access servers, and troubleshooting tools such as trace route and ping. More labs are added from time to time keeping in step with the changes in the exam objectives and the latest technologies.

Also, be aware that the “use of open-source intelligence” exam objective does not refer to using open-source code. Do yourself a favor and search the web for “OSINT” before the exam.
Although cryptography and PKI are only about 12% of the exam, I recommend watching “The Art Of the Problem” videos from Brit Cruise on YouTube to help prepare for that bank of questions. AES-GCM-128 (or 256) and elliptic curve are also very popular algorithms and modes, so make sure you have those bases covered.
